Chemist Afternoon

Family came over in the afternoon with more presents

I got a milk jug bowling set.

I think I am going to be a very good bowler.

Here I am with my second cousins Cameron and Lachelle, my great aunt Cass, my first cousins once removed Amanda and Nathan.

Me with Nanna and Pappa (and camera)

Chemist Morning

My Mommy and Daddy--after we ate breakfast, lit some candles and Daddy read to us--had me pick out a present from under our tree...I picked the one to Daddy that Mommy and I had wrapped a long time ago. I told Daddy "Daddy teeth brush"

After I got lots of presents out from under the tree for Daddy--I got some presents to open too. This is where all my cars had gone.

Here I am carefully taking the paper off.

A train from The Thomas and Friends series... how did they know I would love it?

More unwrapping...

A plane... look at it sparkle.

It is a Monkey puppet...I do a great Monkey impression. Ooh...Ooh...

The biggest present of all!

Of course it takes a great deal of skill and a Mommy and Daddy to actually get it out of the package. Hope you all had a great Christmas morning too!

Chemist Hat--Retrospective

Here I am in 2006 wearing the Christmas hat

2006--where you can actually see my face.

2007--same hat--hidden face

Here I am in 2007 removing the hat.

Here we are in 2008--I kind of like the hat now.

My face can still be hidden

Merry Christmas!

Chemist Snow

I woke up one morning and there was Christmas snow outside.

Here I am posing for my Mommy--why can't I just go and play?

The playground was covered in snow but so much fun!

I think my Mommy needs to get me better mittens--these are definitely not for snow.

Here I am climbing the monkey bars.

Look at the beautiful white playground.

I went down the slide...really fast!

I tried to climb up the slide--but that was beyond my skill level.

This is not my snow man--someone came out even before I got there and made it.

When we got inside my Mommy made me hot chocolate...I really did not like it very much.

A Merry Chemist Gift

Mommy and Daddy have been wrapping gifts and I decided I needed to wrap a gift too. Mommy and Daddy helped me with the tape and the ribbon but I did everything else.

Then I took the gift over to Uncle Ted

He was surprised that I brought a gift.

I helped Uncle Ted unwrap the gift.

I put the gift in a tin with trains on it.

Uncle Ted and I played with the gift once he opened.
What I did not know is that people expect to keep the gifts you give them.

O Chemistree

Once the Christmas tree was home we got to put things on it...here I am showing off one of the animal ornaments...Mommy and Daddy were trying to discourage me from playing with them...

Sometimes when putting ornaments on the tree you have to reach up high

Once in a while you have to take a break and dance

I got really good at being gentle with the ornaments--well--after I broke a few...

There it is--all done with presents underneath.
(And Aunt Betsy--it smells wonderful!!)

Chemistree

Mommy and Daddy decided we should get a "real" Christmas tree this year.
They told me about going to the woods and chopping down a tree to bring home....hmmm...

Here I am waiting to go to the woods...don't I look warm?

Here we are--not at the woods...instead a tree farm--no woods for me...

I was ready to go and search but Daddy and Mommy decided they wanted a different kind of tree.

This is the second tree "farm" where the farmer in the background told my Mommy that he farms plastic...the climate here is really too harsh for Christmas trees--so he just ships them in from elsewhere.

Finally we went to a tree lot in front of St. Vincent DePaul's run by the local Knights of Columbus... so much for the going to the woods...well I guess someone went to the woods right?

Train Show

Trains on tracks with trees, cars, buildings, mountains... oh my! This was so glorious--you must go and see a train show yourself.

Did you know there are trains made out of LEGOS!

Here I should mention my eyes in these pictures--my Mom insists on using the red eye correction--so that you don't know that all of these indoor pictures--I have bright red eyes.

I appreciated how Daddy would hold me up so that I could get a better view of the trains. Some of the train lay-outs had special little people platforms for me.

A simple train lay-out is a thing a beauty

This was a replica of a real place my Mommy told me--something called the Royal Gorge.

Everyone was sad to leave this magical place--even my Daddy could not help but cry...
