The Last of the Front

Me in front of the school at the beginning of demolition
What a lovely place it was

An interior wall in the middle of it all...

The front with all the classrooms gone from behind it

Claws take down the front

My famous forced smile once it all is down

I guess it is time to move on...

Demolition Continues

This is the side of the school closest to the gym the day before they tore it down

It was a cool side entrance into the school

That is me looking at it being gone...I was napping while they tore it down

with a little effort I can manage another brave smile

the same thing without the fence in the way

Hey--I can do it here it is--a real smile

The Beginning of the End of the School

Mama and I sat in a shady spot across the street from the school.

Mama only took one picture of me in front of the demolition the morning it started--she really needs to work on making sure there is enough light on my face

There was a small music room that they tore out first--then they started on the gymnasium

There were always 10 to 15 people watching that first morning--not so many people once the temperature reached one hundred.

They made it inside the gym

From a different angle--the only opening in the fence

trying to force a smile

me successfully forcing a smile

Contemplating Particle Physics

Lately, in between my fun times with Orange and reading my many books, I've been pondering particle physics. I have Horton Hears a Who to thank for the epiphany that came to me when considering that every infinitesimal particle is theoretically capable of being a complete universe in and of itself. But I was having some difficulty wrapping my mind around how far could a universal particle reductionism go. That is until I discovered this CERN video which explains particles, matter, antimatter, etc in a very catchy rhyme and cadence that anybody can understand.

Me and My Friend Orange

With Trains and bad lighting

Orange and his little brother Tummy know how to look at the camera

Orange's Grandma is not neurotic about grapes but she cut up mine because she knows my Mommy is...

sharing the chair

Water is more fun if you splash it

I finally comment on Orange's choice of shirt color--just like his name
(I did not comment on the Cars trunks...Orange seems to have an almost obsessive interest in the movie)

Washing Orange's feet just like Jesus would
(although I am not sure that Jesus would use plastic)

Orange and I prefer his Grandma's camera.

We are really funny guys

I mean really funny

Final shot--I look at Mommy's camera but Orange does not.

Another Concert

With Grandpa Ed

With Great Aunt Cass and Great Uncle Ted

Trying to encourage everyone to get up and dance

Petting the random dog

Eskimo kisses with the random dog
(Do you see all those bikes back there? I am a trend setter...lots of people biked to the concert after I did it--I wish they had all followed my lead on the helmet wearing.)

Rolling in the grass
