On Our Way Home

We went to Oklahoma on our way back home.

Here I am lost in a sea of winter wheat.

My cousin and I played a little JEO-Jo game in the wheat.

We got to spend a lot of time in the airport...
my Daddy let me watch some DVDs.

Finally we got on the last plane.

It was a little plane--and I got to sit by my Daddy and Erica.

Erica was really anxious to go home.

Garden Shots

We spent most of our time in GC--here I am with my cousins at the zoo.

I tried to form a band with SL--
but we could not agree on a name.

One of my favorite attractions is the giant hairball
amazing!
I am not even near this gleeful group
there must be some story here...

ELO was always trying to charm Grandma.
It seemed to be working.

ELO finally found someone who loves to nap as much as she does.

Matching Dresses

My Aunt Betsy made matching dresses
for the little girl cousins--which meant of course more picture taking.
Luckily I was not involved.

I think my Uncle Matthew was giving ELO a
pep talk about posing for pictures.

There are many pictures and I mean many to choose from...
I think Aunt Betsy made the best choices on her blog.

I thought there was something poetic in her look here.

I prefer the pictures where both J and ELO are upset.
(Anna was quite patient with it all.)

Really cute aren't they?
(the girls and the dresses)

Pink Dress

My Grandma gave ELO a pretty pale pink dress--
although for the record pink is for girls.
(I know I think most of the pictures make her look like she is in white...
just trust me--it's pink.)

ELO does seem to make pink look good.

She liked the pink so much we caught her smiling.

Aunt Linda and ELO wanted to show off their blue eyes.

Aunt Betsy took lots and lots of pictures of ELO and Anna
with the pink dress.
ELO seemed bored with it all.

Travel to Topeka

In April I traveled to Kansas with ELO, Mommy and Daddy.

We were picked up at the airport by Aunt Favorite
but soon Aunt Linda came to take us to Topeka.

While in Topeka--my Great Aunt Carla took me to see Lawrence...
I was excited to see a surf shop--but alas no beach.

My Mommy's friend Hilary and her son Charles came to see me
(and ELO).
We saw a few other people but no pictures.

There were lots of neat things at my Great Aunt Ann's house.
(Although while I was there I felt it more efficient to call Aunt Ann--
Grandma--she did not seem to mind.)

Great Uncle Paul let me ride on his lawn tractor with him.
(He also did not mind me calling him Grandpa.)

My Great Uncle Paul is a fun guy.

My favorite part of the time in Topeka was fishing.

Great Uncle Paul had a rod just my size and a hat for me to wear too.

I was hoping to catch fish for dinner...
but was not so successful.

My Daddy's favorite part wasn't the fishing--
it seemed to be sleeping on the couch.
