Church Camping

My Grandpa came to camp with us and our church...

I had a great time with my friends from church.
We loved making this mud soup
until one of the adults decided the bowl was actually
needed for something else.

E. found a great spot under the trees to
read and work on her mobility skills.

Yes--that's it for our pictures...
(I really need a more reliable photographer.)

Tree Gateway to Waterfun

This is a really big pine--
an entire campground is named for it.
EG's Mommy and Daddy took us on a little
"Big Pine" adventure.

There were obstacles to overcome.

There were scary cliffs to climb down...
(Don't worry my Mommy rescued E.)

There were pictures to pose for....

There were smiles because E.
is safe.

Then there was some spontaneous swimming.

Too soon--it was time to say goodbye
to this beautiful spot.

Tents and Trees

In August we spent a few days camping on the old Ferrin Ranch--
a surprisingly tree filled area...
with lots of tree and/or water lined trails.

There I am in the corner of this picture
by an old burnt out tree.

There also were rocks to collect.

E. fell asleep a lot on our hikes.

While we weren't hiking E. spent a lot of time
contemplating life in her stroller.

She also found a fun place to play--thanks to another E.

Even I spent some time playing on the blanket
with our good friend EG.
Good times. :)

Hidden Hack

You really can't tell can you?

Look closely...

Give up?

See I knew I could get away with it.

Look at what is in my hand?

Yes--a big hunk of my hair.

There it is...
Just one cut with my scissors...

Mommy insisted I go and get it fixed...

Waterfall Wading

On a terrifically hot day we made a trip to
visit a cool waterfall...
A., Aunt L., Aunt B., and I got as close to it as we could.

Here we got the group pose...
featuring my cool pirate look.

A waterfall worth the little hike.

Then we got to go swimming.
The water was really shallow--so it was just perfect for us.

Little E. found a place on the beach to look cute.

A. and I worked on our floaty swimming technique.

I guess the rest of the group
enjoyed the view...
The next day A. went home...
how I miss her.

Cool Creek

Finally a swimming spot.

A. making use of her model pose.

Aunt L. and A. enjoying the water...

A. helping her Mom do some floating.

We're number 1!
aka
My Mommy saying
"How many fingers am I holding up?"

Turnout Tour of 2010

On our way home from camping--my Mom said
we were going to go swimming
We had lunch in front of a beautiful swimming spot.

But then everything changed...
We left the perfect spot without getting wet...

We instead drove our van until we came to a turn out
then my Mom would pull over and turn off the engine
and Aunt B. would talk on the phone.

We finally all got out of the van and went to the dealership.
Betsy spoke on the phone some more and we all tried to smile.

Although I was still thinking about our perfect swimming spot
there were trucks to play with...

Ocean Opportunity

The sun finally came out while we were by the coast...
So A. and I needed to pose for pictures.

Then we decided to a walk on the beach.

Daddy decided to go back to the baby carrier for E.

A. and her Mommy posed for the camera.
(I think T. was posing too.)

We decided to try and walk on water.

We found the water wanted to walk on us.

Yeah.....yeah...yeah
it was fine...
