Winter Wonder

 In late December we had a lot of snow to enjoy.

Sledding with Daddy is a lot of fun.

 

 Snow is cold we have to bundle up.

 There were a lot of other people on the hill with the same idea.

 Down we go.

 This was a fun afternoon

until we had the little accident.

I found a little hill to try out on my own.

 I am becoming a bit of an expert.

 We went in search of more hills in January.

 We found some pretty trees.

 We tried the roadway but it was not the hill we were hoping for.

 Yes--there it is...

 quite steep...

 A little too steep for little girl E.

 We found a smaller one nearby.

 We even went down with Daddy, E, and I.

 We found a pretty place but maybe a little more dangerous area.

Sledding sure is fun!

Celebrating a Savior

We went to church on Christmas eve--then 

met up at my Aunt E. and Uncle R. house.

E. was very glad to see her cousin M.

It was an fun time with our cousins.

Christmas carols, cousins, and gifts.

 

Christmas morning we had the traditional hot chocolate, eggs,

pancakes, and Daddy reading Luke.

When it came to finally open those things

under the tree we had a great deal of sun

pouring through our windows.

E. all lit up like an angel.

I got some ideas.

I got more cars. 

But wait there's more.

My parents like us to open one present at a time--

that was impossible for me to follow.

This is one funny book.

E. joins to witness protection program

when my Mama asked her to pose with her present.

Once we had moved everything from under the tree it was time to play!

I am sure this is what Jesus would want us to do.

Contemplating Christmas

We went down to a lakeside for some Christmas photos.

 It was cold and windy but my Mama never lost

her fake photo smile.

 We also made some Christmas cookies--

well E. actually slept through most of our cookie making.

 My Mama likes to pull my hair back in a hanky

so that there is not red hair in the dough.

 Yes--I even roll out my dough myself.

 

  E. finally showed up to cut some cookies out.

 

 Now usually I would talk about getting the tree,

or decorating the tree.

 This year we just posed with it all done.

 

We were all ready to celebrate!

Uncle C. came to visit us for a week-end in December.

He actually found some sun by the lifeguards chair. 

 We took him to see where the eagles like to hang-out.

 There's some now!

 Trust me--that's an eagle up there.

 While Uncle C. was here--I took him to my favorite toy store.

 Even E. enjoyed this ride.  

 The next day of his visit we took Uncle C. to see 

the crazy bridge parade in the snow.

The water was pretty spectacular.

 The snow was even sticking.

 E. and Chris enjoying the snowy scene.

Sadly--the skyride was closed for the night when we decided 

we should check it out.
