Pre-wedding Prep

While we were at Aunt Margaret's
there was a lot of time spent
going to the neighbors.
Here we found an old milk jug.

Then we were off to another neighbors where we found a bull.
I was quite confused because this bull did not have a circle in it's nose.

I was introduced to a girl with really red hair.

We discovered that inside this old stock tank there was a turtle.
This was before I fell in.

While Aunt Margaret and my Mom
were chopping up vegetables--other family members began arriving.
Grandpa Marion came just in time for E.'s nap.
When Aunt Margaret and my Mom could find nothing else to chop we
left for the big city.

Being with E. is what I picture it must be like
to be with a movie star--

paparazzi everywhere--
our hotel was just swarming with them.

So I am mostly in the background of all these shots.
If you look closely you will see that is my leg.

There is my arm and shoulder.

Yes--that is me in the background again.

Uncle Mark took a break from taking pictures of E.
so he could take
on the task of feeding her breakfast the day of the wedding.
There is my ear in the shot.

Lainey--the bride came by to eat with E. too...
I think she needed some pointers on looking good for the camera.

You're Doin' Fine Oklahoma

In late May we flew to Wichita--in the middle of
a tornado watch.
I prepared myself by reading through the emergency information.

Thankfully, I did not need any of the emergency information.

We arrived safely at Aunt Margaret's house in OK and I
immediately began to build a train track.

E. started bonding with cousin Spencer...

...followed by an Aunt Margaret photo shoot.

E. is a good model isn't she?

The next morning I got up before everyone else
and finished building my train track.

Then cousin Spencer and E. played a few tunes on the piano.

Unfortunately for Spencer,
E. really wants to try for a solo career.

Later for lunch, I was able to order a quesadilla from
cousin Spencer at Taco Mayo.
It was quesadilcious.

Later--Aunt Margaret let me help her mow.

"...where the wind comes sweepin down the plains,
Where the wavin' wheat,
Can sure smell sweet,
When the wind comes right behind the rain..."

Preschool Perfection

This is E. and I on my final day as a pre-schooler.

I took my name off my cubby tub for the last time.

I placed my name with the others from my class.

I posed with my teachers.

and had some fun with them too.

Here I am in my first mortar board.
I sure am going to miss my preschool.

Cloudy Crater Lake

We went to Crater Lake on a cloudy day in May.

There was a lot of snow--there I am standing by the snow.

This is what it looked like driving through it.

The lodge was opened so we went in and looked out some of the windows.

It was E.'s first visit to see the lake.

She enjoyed playing with the snow.

There was some posing in front of the lake.

When we went to another viewing spot we found a snowman.

After lunch--we did some sledding in the very wet snow.

There we are in the corner of the picture on a little hill.

Down the hill we go.

E. waiting for her turn.

Here we are on the hill--
ready to go.

We did it.

The sun came out before we left.

I like it better with a little sunshine.
